Sacramental Ministries

Participate in various sacramental ministries during Mass.

Altar Servers assist the priest and deacon during the celebration of the Mass, helping to ensure that the liturgy flows smoothly and reverently. Their responsibilities may include carrying the cross and candles, preparing the altar, and assisting with the presentation of the gifts. This role is a meaningful way—especially for young parishioners—to grow in faith while serving at the heart of the Church’s worship.

Lectors proclaim the Word of God during Mass by reading the Scripture passages (except the Gospel). They help bring the Bible to life for the congregation through clear, prayerful, and engaging reading. Lectors typically prepare in advance by reflecting on the readings so they can communicate their meaning with reverence and understanding.

Eucharistic Ministers assist in the distribution of Holy Communion during Mass and, in some cases, bring the Eucharist to those who are homebound or in hospitals. This ministry requires a deep respect for the Eucharist and a spirit of humility and service, as ministers help share the Body and Blood of Christ with the faithful.

Ushers play an important role in hospitality and organization during Mass. They greet parishioners as they arrive, assist with seating, take up the collection, and help guide the congregation during Communion. Ushers help create a welcoming and orderly environment, ensuring that all who enter feel comfortable and supported.

Rosary Leaders guide the parish in praying the Rosary before Mass, helping to create a peaceful and prayerful atmosphere as we prepare for the celebration of the Eucharist. Leaders announce each mystery, begin the prayers, and set a steady, comfortable pace for the congregation to follow. This ministry is a beautiful way to foster devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and invite others into a deeper spirit of reflection and prayer before Mass begins.
