The Homeless and Hunger Ministry helps collect food and other items for those in greatest need. We currently collect food on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month before the Sunday Masses. The food is divided between Hope Outreach Ministries (located at the former St. Paul's church hall in Canton) and Catholic Charities. Our collection has expanded to include special collections such as Souper Sunday in February, Peanut Butter Sunday in June, Sock-it-to-me Sunday in August, and Hats and Gloves in October.
Hope Outreach is open Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They serve about 1,400 meals a week and 30% of their clients are homeless.
Since our ministry began, we have collected 261,681lbs. of food.

The purpose of the Bereavement Committee is to provide aftercare and support, as well as prayers, to our members who have experienced a death in their family. We are present at the funeral Mass and stay in touch with families throughout the year. We will offer an annual End of Life presentation at Christ the Servant Parish. This program will include an overview what to expect and prepare for as a practical matter in end of life situations. All are welcome to join us.
The Christ the Servant Cancer Support Group provides a welcoming, caring and non-judgmental support to those diagnosed with cancer, currently in treatment for cancer, or those who have completed cancer treatment.
Group meetings provide a safe space to work through anger, fear, sadness and other concerns. We believe that faith plays an important part in treatment and recovery because faith gives us hope. Through prayer we can lift each other up and in helping others we help ourselves.
